Reading Notes - Raja Rasalu Part B
(Image taken from Romantic Tales from the Panjab)
The tales of Punjab Hero Raja Rasul are incredibly ingrained in the Punjabi culture. When looking at the idea of using an alluring tool to hunt and choosing love over violence, we see a large impact on Sikh ideology. Sikh culture treasures the stories of Raja Rasul more than the Muslims in the region (as they take their stories from Arab history). In Part B of the stories of Raja Rasul we see longer stories with more characters that are "realistic" regardless of their mythical characteristics.
