Storybook Favorites

After going through the storybooks this evening, I was attracted to these three especially: "A Whole New World", "Ghost stories of OU", and "The Heroic Tyrant-King".
To begin with "A Whole New World," I must state that the name of the book itself was quite luring. I have seen and have loved Aladdin since I was a child and the idea that there were more stories surrounding that canon was exciting for me. In addition to all of this, the fact that I grew up near Arab culture made me interested in their folklore. The introduction does a great job in explaining what the blog is about and how these stories correlate. I especially appreciate the amount of work put into the theme. I do believe that there needs to be more pictures in the story section to better illustrate the setting.
Secondly, "Ghost stories of OU" is very appealing because it relates to the space I am in at this stage of my life. The pictures are a bit blurry, but their darkened theme helps with the spookiness of the page. I also enjoy the way the author creates a story with dialogue instead of throwing facts and conclusions together like many of the other pages. One way this page could improve is the introduction that seems to be lacking direction in the sense that the author fails in keeping the attention of the reader. I believe a more narrative style of introduction would have helped retain their audience.
Thirdly, "The Heroic Tyrant-King." I picked this one because the title was very intriguing. I think there are specific stories and elements that could do so much better than the author did here. The blurry pictures and old fashion theme is a turn off to many who would open the page.
